I just saw a picture of some students in the snow …. Oh wow I hope I had been there because this looked like the best trip. I have been missing this entire wonderful trip because I am too lazy on weekends. I am sure next time I will be there for a second turn.
Guest yoyo 03/24/2008 1:16pm
I just saw a picture of my class when we went To the Metropolitan museum of art. It mad fun, especially when I got lost. It took me long way to find my friends.
Guest mariana 03/24/2008 1:07pm
Hello, I saw the picture of my class when we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That picture look great.I would like to go to another trip again.I remember when my friend and I got lost we didn't know where to go.My fovarite trip so far is when we went to walk the Broookly Bridge.
Guest Ilona 03/24/2008 12:59pm
When I saw the Idaho album, I saw many wonderful pics. All of them are so colorful and in each picture you can see the beautiful backround. Wish I was there!
Guest Sam 03/24/2008 12:58pm
I was reading one of the short stories “ I hike, therefore I am” by Michael Fidelma"" I liked a part of that short story when he said, "If you can walk, that means you can hike, too" I hope one day I can go hiking with you guys, especially with Mrs. Dikovsky. I wish I could go especially with Mrs. D because I heard a lot people are talking about how fun it is to hike.
Guest Ilona 03/24/2008 12:56pm
Another picture that i liked was the one in the Metropolitan Museum. The second one is the one that I like the most, because everyone who went on the trip is there (exept Ms.Dikovsky since she always takes the picture from her camera). Even I'm there! Finally I see my myself! That trip was very fun!
Guest Ilona 03/24/2008 12:53pm
Oregon/Washington album has a picture that I liked, which is number 6. On that picture, there's a guy in the lake which looks very cold, and I think it has ice on top of the lake that is still frozen. The caption says, '' Should I say, Brrrr.'' Yes, you should say Brrrr.
Guest Abul 03/24/2008 12:52pm
Hey, my first hiking trip was wonderful and I keep thinking of going on more hikes. I am a busy man who likes to do many things. Anyway, I liked my first hiking trip a lot, and I am still hoping to go and enjoy hiking with everyone. I hope anyone who is reading this will try to join the hiking club, and maybe I will see you there. Also, those mountains are so beautiful that I can’t explain, so I want to suggest you go one time and I am sure you will enjoy it. If you decide to join, please talk to Ms. Dikovsky, she is a wonder teacher and who can even convince your parents to let you go.
Guest Ilona 03/24/2008 12:49pm
My mouth dropped open when I saw that picture in the Et Al album!!!! It's the sixth picture, and of course I like all the pictures, but I like this one verrrry much. And, the comment is just perfect because it says, '' Will leave the caption to your imagination. I have no words.'' I don't have words either. Very beautiful! Can we go there for our trip sometime? This time, I'll beg my mom to go! If there's going to be a trip like this, then I'm so going!
Guest Ilona 03/24/2008 12:44pm
I was laughting when I saw that picture in the Hudson album! It had a caption which was, ''Don't let your parents see this one! But yes, this can happen even on an easy trail pretty close to the city... Fortunately, Mr. Majmin lived through his experience... ''. That bear looked like he was about to eat him! Mr. Majmin looks so scared in this pic! He's a good actor. :)
Guest Ilona 03/24/2008 12:39pm
I saw that picture from the Hudson album that is captioned ''A short break to Sugar Mountain''. I recognized many people there like, Begi, Sasha, Pamella, Dennis, Alex and other people. Everyone is smiling and they're in a good mood, which means they had a lot of fun!
Guest 03/24/2008 12:37pm
this is great!!!
Guest Sam 03/24/2008 12:03pm

I love the out doors and I love hearing about all the outings & hikes that Diana leads. The kids really enjoy themselves. I go on my own outings in nature but I hope to join Diana soon too. Thanks Diana for all your encouragement.

Well I can now honestly say I am a true master of the Bunny Slopes. That slope has my name written on it. You should have seen my tecnhique getting on to that Magic Carpet and racing down the hill: very impressive I must say. What's next? Black Diamond? Everest? I am ready for anything. No stopping me. Well all joking aside, I had a fun time yesterday as I know the rest of you all did too. I actually do feel a bit sore this morning(don't know why) but it was worth it. If I learned anything from yesterday it was wathching Ms. Valente snowboarding and realizing that in order to get better at anything you must keep trying and not lose patience.Eventually you will get the hang of whatever it is you're learing to do. Also, watching students like Zuzanna and Izabella with minimal experience at snowboarding and yet showing no fear whatsoever, that's just a part of youth I wish had back. Lastly, we should all thank Ms. Dikovsky for arranging this trip. As usual, she goes out of her way for all of you because she loves you guys and we should show our appreciation. So when you see her in the hallway at school say "thank you" or better yet, give her a big hug. Well guys, until next year when I finally encounter my first chair lift expereience. Mr. Majmin

wanna go back to Montana where I was last summer, because recently I noticed yhat I can't stand NY. Want to sit by the fireplace, sleep under tent., and swim in the cold lakes. That is what we did there and I really miss it. I miss Egor's and Venya's trailmix. and most of all I miss KOLBASA. i regret that I didn't meet with girls, because I had to leave unfortinately. believe it or not, I didn't want to leave. I came back to the same plece, I see the same people..but I'll never forget experience that I had with you, guys.. backpacking was hard ata some point, but it was worth it! I FEEL LIKE A REAL HIKER NOW!!!!!!
Guest Eszter 07/27/2005 8:35pm

I've posted some of the photos from two of our latest climbing trips in the Climbing gallery. Hope you like them. More to come in following weeks.:)
Diana 06/03/2005 9:33pm
Can I believe my eyes? Venia's writing a new chapter from the Utah journey! And Faina's working on... Oops, a secret. New chapters are coming then. Ironic that Lee was the first one to submit his chapter but he himself almost stopped hiking...
Gear_Guru 06/03/2005 6:28pm
hmmm, i actually already started a week ago: Chapter Eight in which we drive through Fry Canyon, the smallest town on Earth (four people). We run out of gas. Almost. Valley of Gods where we should’ve stayed for the night. So i'll continue with that, however i don't remember the part about Diana writing a poem and i heard about the Indian's curses from girls too. Maybe they can write a small paragraph about that, we can always add a small chapter.
Diana 06/02/2005 2:52pm
Soooooooo much time and energy go into comments that I can't help thinking about the chapters we're still missing. Three of us have to write about Utah before we leave for the next venture. Hmmmmm, who can those three be?
Gear_Guru 04/22/2005 4:44am
To all those who embark on the journey of a lifetime on the uninhabited island in the Atlantic Ocean i wish the best of luck and to have as much fun as possible. Try not to harm any native people living there. I expect lots of beautiful pictures from that floating paradise. And, please, be safe out there.
mx_ 04/14/2005 1:04pm
Great. I'm glad it's all so helpful and exciting. :) Pictures are really nice! Diana, if you get some time for that, you could as well add captions to some captionless pictures we have, especially in the Utah -> Arizona -> Utah section.
Gear_Guru 04/14/2005 4:12am
HERE COMES FEEDBACK!!! I never imagined that getting images from a recent hike was a matter of 1-2 days. Finally having a DSLR and an easy upload interface it became a reality. I'm going to be checking the site more often after hikes now. I suggest everybody do the same !!!
Diana 04/14/2005 1:57am
Just love adding pictures! It's going to be my new toy from now on. Very exciting! Still cannot believe it's happening. But where's the feedback? :(
Gear_Guru 04/13/2005 8:03pm
Nice job displaying how many comments there are for each hike. It was frustrating before. And I really like the weather service. However on the main page maybe it would be good to put not only current weather (which nobody needs, if they are at home right now) but weather on the closest sunday (if u can extract that from weather.com site). If not then at least put today's and tomorrow's weather so people packing & checking it on Saturday night have some idea about the wheather tomorrow (Sunday). I really doubt anyone checks the website at 6am Sunday morning before going out. Except me, of course. :)

[Fixed problem in the guestbook.]
Diana 04/12/2005 1:48am
Everyone, and esp. the guys in my immediate family - a year ago, you promised to write a chapter about our Utah trip. Where is the chapter? Now that the site is getting cooler and cooler, we want more memories! The relatively new members - start writing, even if it's a couple of lines. Or else!
mx_ 04/11/2005 12:56am
Ok, thanks Venya, it's fixed now.
Gear_Guru 04/11/2005 12:56am
I also like the new contact method. BUT I CAN'T SEE THINGS I JUST POSTED IN HERE A SECOND AGO.WHY?
Gear_Guru 04/11/2005 12:55am
COOOL Hikes Section !!! I like it a lot.
Gear_Guru 04/02/2005 8:10pm
Great New additions! I like the new menu on the right and new look of news too. The font maybe a little small and hard to read and also the titles' font in the news can be made a little brighter or somehow more visible. It's very light right now. Maybe experiment something with brightness, contrast. Hopefully i'll get together with Max to help him with the new logo.
mx_ 04/02/2005 2:32pm
Eszter, thank you. :)
Guest eszter 04/02/2005 11:04am
Wow, Ms D. and all the others that helped! The new site is really nice!
mx_ 03/29/2005 12:12am
Gear_Guru, thank you for all the suggestions. We'll definitely deal with the header of the page, as we really were doubtful about it. We are also thinking of a way to implement another section for extras, without changing the left menu. It will be done soon. Having some time constraints for now, but it won't take long. Thanks again, keep exploring.
Gear_Guru 03/28/2005 4:03pm
Thank you password works now
Guest 03/28/2005 3:34am
Gear_Guru again. Not everyone will find the link for registration especially when we add more news. So i suggest to make it available either in the left column or right on this page, saying "if u r a member but don't have an account please register here" Sounds cool?
Guest 03/28/2005 3:31am
WOW FINALLY!! HEY ALL This is Gear_Guru but can't login right now. Great Site Yura and Max. Good work, really. I just went through Zion&Utah2 Pictures and almost cried.:) Oh I just learned about the sunday hike :( Too bad for me. On to the BUGZZZ!!!!! The top logo is VERY annoying!!!! First of all it changes color when u mouse_over and in tabbed browser it's just very destructing! It flickers very often. Secondly when i scroll with my mouse wheel pressed it dissapears completely or flickers very quickly. VERY UGLY PICTURE!!! Thirdly, IT HAS A LINK IN IT. UGGGRRRRR this is the second time i'm typing this message cos i accidentally pressed on top logo and it threw me to main page deleting ALL this i wrote. Maaan i'm angry! :) I think "Home" link in left column is enough. I don't wanna sound rude but u asked me, right. I think it's better to just make it a regular picture. No bells and whistles. Thank you. more to come...
Yura 03/28/2005 1:46am
thx, will try to make it even better :)
Guest 03/28/2005 12:52am
